Squeee! Happy birthday to me! Forever 29, of course. ;-)
I started the day as Grumpy McGrumb but with lots of presents (chocolate-covered ginger sticks, catbooks, bathingstuff, tea, crime novels, Expresso by Cafe Einstein) things have already gotten better - and after watching John, Rodney and Kolya, I'm quite happy :-)


My sis is the cat-person around here but really who can resist the attack of the cute? Not me. Have a look at our two little British Shorthair kittens (they're still at the cattery, we need to wait another month before we can take them home):






Malfoy (9 weeks, british shorthair tomcat, red tabby point)



Rodney (8 weeks, british shorthair tomcat (Exotic), choco point (not a true breed, his father is a Persian)

They're gorgeous! And note, a British Shorthair/Persian cross is called an Exotic, and is generally a true breed. I have a seal point Exotic myself (see icon). Im sure your boys will give you much joy.

Oh, that's a cutie!! The breeder said something about exotic but I assumed it was meant more as comment on how the cat will look like.
Rodney is quite lively, likes to plays a lot but will stick to his can-opener like a burr once he gets the idea that food is on the way. I just *had* to call him Rodney! My sis obviously is a Harry Potter fan - Malfoy will turn out true to his name, I'm sure.

Argh - it's torture waiting for them! tomorrow we'll try to get two scratching-trees for them from the local forestry. I mean those boys *will* get quite large, Malfoy's dad weights 6.5 kilos (and he's still young), they need more than just cardboard and string to keep them entertained and off our curtains ;-). Ok, maybe I'm channeling dogs again...(me, the dog-person around here ;-))

Last time I saw them they looked like a pair of fluffy fur balls with ears, and Malfoy has these tiny tiny pink paws and enjoys belly rubs (after we feed him a delicious cat treat that made him very sleepy and mild)... Rodney couldn't stop his little hind legs peddling like mad while he got his belly rubbed... dies ;-)

Danke meine Liebe! Jaaaa - Der Slang der Katzenliebhaber ist mehr als nur ein bisschen gewöhnungsbedürftig, eigenlich recht harter Tobak, da kommt man ohne ein Dosenöffner für das Bärchen/Mauzi-Punzi aus dem Sternenschlösschen/Purzelwald/Schnurri-Purri-Land nicht weiter. @_@
Ich musste den Kater einfach Rodney nennen!

:-)Thank you dear! Actually yours were the first cats who didn't ignore me - thus curing me of my reluctance towards cats in general. ;-)

Snail mail address is on the way and the long-awaited list for free copies of the anthy too. Thankfully most got their copy from the con already. Which I MISSED. AGAIN.

Oh the temptation...But I'll be good. This breed won't tolerate a Grabby McGrab and thankfully I'm still a bit too shy around cats to do more than feed them stuff and rub their bellies (which one shouldn't try on someone else's cats, or so I've been told) - I mean I'm just happy if they don't ignore me. Dogs they are not ;-)

My older cat... well that's another story. If you are a man, you are allowed to caress. If you are a woman... maaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe! XD

I am a bit sad that I cannot have a kitty in here. It would keep me some company. But since I must go Portugal-Germany-Portugal the whole time, it's not a good idea... :( besides, this is a one-roomed apartment! XD
