...is it a good sign if the office worker at your local tax office know you by name? Or that your file has a special place on her desktop right next to the undying potted plant? Or that it takes her 15 min to calculate what you owe the state in taxes? That she doesn't offer you a seat?
Argh. I'm so screwed. They hang on my ass with teeth and claws and I worked all through summer and still won't get the dough together to fly to San Francisco's Yaoi-Con. http://www.yaoicon.com
Teeth-gnashing doesn't help. Banging head against wall might. 42% TAXES on what I earn. Plus pre-payment for the year to come. Why did I ever leave university?? Kindergarten?? Home??

I think it is positively scary that your local tax collector knows you so well. Scarier still that your tax rate is 42%! Am buying a lottery ticket in your name.
