I've decided to give the DMMF (Dark Male/Male Fiction) yahoo group into better hands than mine -- I had hoped for more free time once my professional life had calmed down a little but it hasn't turned out that way.
DMMF used to be MaleAbuseStuff, a list owned by Juxian Tang. Deleted by yahoo for unkown reasons the group was later reborn as DMMF -- at a time LJ took hold in fandom. Meaning it never got back into the swing. Right now the group is 400 fans strong but mostly low traffic. It could be reanimated I believe, maybe with an LJ mirror and a archive.
I'm looking for moderators who're willing to take ownership later on.

What is M/M Dark Fiction ? It's about male fictional characters. Can be a love story between two male characters, a friendship story, or a coming-of-age story, the only requirement we have is that the males are the main focus. With "Dark" we mean the setting of the story. That means harsh times for your character: slavery, prostitution, war, crime, abuse, non_con and worse situations, that sort of thing. No bad ending required, of course. All genres are welcome: fantasy, science fiction, gay, queer, historical, contemporary, slash, yaoi and fan fiction. You can post stories and recommendations, get help for your fic research, start a discussion, rave about gay and slash literature, post essays, and announcements if they're on topic. This groups is the successor of MAS (MaleAbuseStuff). For adults only
