shopping WHAAAAA
Nov. 9th, 2008 11:11 amHad a major freekout during shopping yesterday.
None of those winter-coats fit me! The colors were all wrong! None had fake fur collars! I looked chunky in them or worse - like a disturbed 14-year-old. Also I totally couldn't remember where I was supposed to get that reserved coat, ergo we kept circling around on foot in the cold dark Saturday evening on Berlin's Kurfüstendamm. AKA Shopping Hell. I bought a pair of dark gray mittens, finally. Which let my sister to exclaim: 4 freaking hours and you choose *dark gray* colors!! For that amount of time you could have gotten *sparkly rainbow* at least!! Just to prove her right I grapped a scratchy dark gray pullover, too. Damn. Also, my trusted english bookshop in the KaDeWe has turned into trash. They don't carry Naomi Novik. WHAAAAAA!
Doro say I didn't do enough shopping as a teenager - I can only say I'm totally stressed with having a myriad choices - I'm thinking about buying the type of coat I had to wear as child - the good old dufflecoat. Which I hated. But at least it's familiar and I can make a judgment about it being good-quality or not. At least it's not deep winter yet. You know I actually thought now that I've lost so much weight shopping would have become easier - well it hasn't. I wish I could shop men's clothing for me - they at least have a very manageable amount of choices. I feel very much Zen when walking through the menfolk stuff. I SUCK AT SHOPPING.
